
Town and City crews raced today to pick up all the storm debris from last week that they could. They quickly switched in the evening to readying plow and salt trucks for 10 to 20 inches of snow said to be bearing down on Rochester.
In Irondequoit–which still doesn’t have all its power back on after last week’s windstorm — Supervisor Dave Seeley says they’re ready for Round Two. Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich says the same. Governor Cuomo declared a state of emergency beginning at midnight. Downstate may get two feet of snow, which would be a record March storm.
Meanwhile, around 6,500 RG&E customers were still waiting for their power to come back on after the Wednesday Wind Storm…and it was a race to get the hard-to-reach homes and businesses back on line before the Nor’easter snow storm hit.
