Governor Cuomo is circulating a petition calling on President Trump to directly denounce white supremacists.

Cuomo says after what he calls the “Deadly and ugly” events in Charlottesville, Virginia this weekend, the president should clearly condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazis including Richard Spencer and Jason Kessler, the organizers of the white supremacist rally in that city.

The president originally blamed “many sides” for the violence that killed a woman and injured 19 others as a car plowed into anti-white supremacist demonstrators. The White House on Sunday issued a followup condemning “white supremacists, KKK, neo-Nazis and all extremist groups.” But it was not specifically attributed to President Trump.
