Rochester police officers conducting a traffic stop at Woodbine Street and Chili Avenue called for backup Monday evening after they were surrounded by a large crowd.
Police say they observed a gun inside the car after pulling it over. The crowd “encroached” on the officers as they were trying to secure the weapon and take the occupants into custody. More officers were called in to disperse the crowd and restore order.
Police arrested 20-year-old Rahimi Bucchan and 23-year-old Christopher Williams for criminal possession of a weapon.
