New York State Police say a crash on Route 104 late last night killed a six-month-old child and injured a driver and two other small children.

Troopers say it happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. on the 104 eastbound service road near Barrett Drive. They say 33-year-old Isaac Mccrea was driving an SUV that crossed the access road and crashed into a tree.

Troopers say there were three small children in the vehicle. Six-month-old Karina Mccrea was found dead in her child seat. Five-year-old Kahiri Mccrea and two-year-old Khyree Mccrea survived and were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital along with the driver.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and Mccrea has been charged with DWI and vehicular manslaughter, driving without a license, driving without insurance and possession of marijuana. He was arraigned this morning and pleaded “not guilty” in Webster Court. Bail was set at $10,000 and a preliminary hearing set for November 6th.

Troopers continue to investigate.
