A Monroe County Deputy escaped serious injury Sunday night when a crash flung his department SUV into a ditch near the corner of West Henrietta and Calkins Roads in Henrietta.
Deputies said the crash just before 8:00 p.m. happened when the deputy was responding to a call to back up another deputy. Another vehicle turned left in front of the oncoming sheriff’s SUV, forcing it off the highway where it rolled over. The other driver also escaped serious injury, although their vehicle had substantial front end damage.
