A driver was seriously injured and power lines were brought down when a driver hit a utility pole on Lehigh Station Road in Henrietta early on New Year’s morning.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the driver was eastbound when he went off the road, first hitting a tree and then the pole. The car rolled on its side. The downed pole brought down the wired across the highway.
RG&E was working at mid-morning to restore the power lines.
