The Western Hockey League named Buffalo Sabres prospect Dylan Cozens to its Eastern Conference First All-Star Team on Monday.

Cozens, who was selected by the Sabres with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, tallied a career-high 85 points (38+47) in 51 games this season while serving as a co-captain for the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He surpassed his 2018-19 point total despite appearing in 17 fewer contests.

The 19-year-old recorded 23 multi-point games, including eight multi-goal performances and three hat tricks. The Hurricanes ranked third in their division and were positioned for a playoff run at the time the WHL canceled its regular season on March 17. The league has since canceled its postseason.

Cozens also played a key role for Team Canada at the 2020 World Junior Championship, where he tallied nine points (2+7) in seven games and earned a gold medal.
