After posting more than 700 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday and on Sunday, the Monroe County Health Department says only 459 new cases were announced on Monday. But there were 27 new deaths reported from the disease, meaning 456 people have died of COVID since the pandemic started.

The county’s rolling seven-day average of new cases is 647 per day, and the average positivity rate reported to the state is 8.65 percent.
