The Monroe County Legislature has approved the $1.2 billion county budget for 2018. The vote was 26 to three.
The budget holds the county tax rate flat, although Democrats were quick to point out that tax payments will go up as the value of properties increases.
County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says in a statement that it’s a fiscally-responsible budget that takes her good government pledge to the next level.
The budget includes dissolution of the county’s remaining Local Development Corporations and adds new funding and staff to the Child Protective Services agency.
