Rochester City Council President Loretta Scott says the council is hiring attorney Andrew Celli, Jr as a special counsel to review and investigate what happened after Rochester Police first made contact with Daniel Prude on March 23rd.
Celli is with the law firm of Emery Celli Brinkerhoff Abady Ward & Maazel LLP.
Scott says City Coucil is also engaging former City Corporation Counsel Linda Kingsley, now a law professor in Albany, on a pro-bono basis to advise the council on how it should proceed.
