Livingston, Genessee and Wayne Counties have reported their first cases of the cornavirus; Ontario county reports three, one a Canandaigua Middle School student.

Monroe County now has 34 confirmed cases, with patients ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, both men and women. Eleven people are hospitalized. Here’s the breakdown on recent cases:

Monroe County health officials say they can’t keep up with the number of tests requested per day so are limiting them to the most needy patients.

Governor Cuomo has ordered barbershop, hair and nail salons and similar businesses to close by 8:00 Saturday night across the state. Neighboring states are following suit. Gyms and recreation centers have already been ordered closed along with the indoor portions of shopping malls.
