The Rochester Fire Department was called Monday night to a house fire on Grieg St. in the Corn Hill Neighborhood, arriving to find a large 2½ story house with heavy fire showing from the second floor and attic.

Firefighters went to work to stop the fire from spreading to the neighboring houses, calling in an extra engine due to this threat. Firefighters went inside despite the volume of fire and part of the roof caving in. They had the fire under control within 50 minutes.

Two occupants of the house suffered minor burns and cuts escaping from the fire, and a firefighter was also injured. All were taken to the hospital, the firefighter suffering from heat exhaustion. None of the injuries were serious.
