With an eye on the forecast, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has declared a Cool Sweep for today and a Heat Emergency for Wednesday in the city.
People can get relief from the heat with extended hours at city pools, Durand Eastman Beach and spray parks. Fire hydrants will also be spraying noon to 4:00 p.m. at School 41 and the Baden Park Gateway.
City residents are welcomed at air conditioned rec centers and library branches Wednesday when the heat is supposed to push into the 90s.
