A pair of Southern Tier residents is accused of defrauding a Canandaigua resident on a home improvement deal.
Canandaigua Police have charged 34-year-old Tracy Young of Wayland and 27-year-old Nicholas Hagadone of Cohocton with third degree grand larceny. The charge says they stole nearly $44,000 from a homeowner who paid them in advance for a home improvement project that was never carried out.
Young and Hagadone failed to put the money into a trust account as required by law and failed to return it when they didn’t do the work. Both have been arraigned and sent to jail until they post bail.
