New York’s Attorney General says a Rochester contractor will pay restitution costs and penalties amounting to at least $63,000 — and he’s been banned from owning or operating a home improvement business in New York State.

Eric Schneiderman says a State Supreme Court Judge has ordered George Frisch of Dynabild Construction Group to return the money he took from people who paid deposits, but never had their work finished. His office sued Frisch in December of last year for collecting full or partial payments for home improvement projects, but failing to do the work. Work that was done was shoddy and unprofessional.

Schneiderman says 11 of Frisch’s customers lost more than $50,000 and had to shell out more money to fix the damage he left in his wake.
