The Conservative Party Candidate named by the party to run in the 133rd Assembly District Race has ended his campaign…after a meeting this afternoon with Republican candidate Joe Errigo.
Jason McGuire stepped in for the Conservative Party after the death of Assemblyman Bill Nojay a week ago. When the Republican party chairs of Monroe, Livingston and Steuben Counties settled on former Assemblyman Errigo to replace Nojay on the ballot, McGuire said he was concerned they might split the conservative vote and tilt the election to Democrat Barbara Baer.
McGuire says after meeting with Errigo, he’s satisfied on his Conservative principles and believes his best course is to drop out of the race.
