Donald Trump trails Hillary Clinton by 24 points across New York State as the Democratic presidential candidate continues to build her lead heading into election day.
A new Siena College poll of likely voters finds Clinton leading the Republican 54-to-30, with five percent for Libertarian Gary Johnson and four percent for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
Clinton leads by six points upstate and more than 50 points in New York City.
More than half, 52 percent, say they’re pessimistic the new president and congress will work together to move the United States forward, no matter who wins.
The Siena College poll finds Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer with a commanding 39 point lead over his Republican challenger, Wendy Long.
That’s down three points from last month, but the incumbent Schumer still leads Long by 66-to-27 percent. Long remains little known, even among Republicans.
