State Police CarNew York State Police and the New York Parks Police used Hamlin Beach State Park as a backdrop today to announce a drive to get state park visitors to keep their seatbelts buckled when driving inside the parts.
Both agencies say there’s a disturbing trend to less seatbelt and child restraint use in state parks outside of the large urban areas. They’re launching a joint summer enforcement program to make sure everyone is secured in moving vehicles.
