The Rochester City Council expects to announce appointments to the city’s new Police Accountability Board next week.

The PAB was approved by Rochester voters in a referendum in the November election by a two-to-one margin.

The board will review allegations of excessive police violence and set policy for the department in conjunction with department leadership. It will have nine members, four appointed by City Council, four by the Police Accountability Board Alliance and one by the mayor.
