The City of Rochester says people will notice increased security measures at special events, parades and large public meetings, beginning with this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17th.

Mayor Lovely Warren’s Office says parade-goers can expect to see more police presence and should plan additional time for arrival and departure because some streets will now be closed for downtown events.

More camera monitoring will be in use and other behind-the-scenes security measures that you won’t see will be in place as well.
