Students at Rochester’s School #29 are back on remote learning for the rest of the week after eight cases of the coronavirus were detected at the school.
The Rochester City School District has also confirmed that a custodian at the school died this week. The BENTE union that represents school district non-teaching employees says it was because of COVID-19.
The principal of School 29 says the school is getting a deep cleaning and health department personnel are contact-tracing those who might have been exposed to the virus.
Family or staff members who want to be COVID-tested may do so Thursday and Friday at the Wilson Foundation SWAN entrance, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
