It appears Rochester is getting ready to announce it’s pick for a school superintendent.
The Board of Education has announced a special meeting for tomorrow afternoon, followed by a news conference at the Central Office Building.
The board had apparently settled on the superintendent of the Ithaca school system earlier this year, but they were unable to reach a contract agreement and they went back to looking for a permanent replacement for Bolgen Vargas, who left at the end of last year.
Linda Cimusz has been serving as interim superintendent since January after a brief stint by Dan Lowengaard, who had to step aside after suffering a stroke.
