The Rochester City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday night to name Conor Dwyer Reynolds as executive director of the new Police Accountability Board.
PAB Chair Shani Wilson said in a statement that the vote shows “the depth of partnership between City Council and the PAB. Our work together will make Rochester a national model for reimagining Public Safety.”
The PAB’s job is to set policy for law enforcement in Rochester. It was also created to act as an impartial reviewer over complaints of police violence or misconduct, although that function is being held up in court.
