The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Churchville-Chili Central School District student with making what deputies call “credible threats” against Churchville-Chili High School.

The threats were made during Spring Break on April 2nd. The student is a juvenile, so authorities aren’t releasing his or her name. The threats were made over social media, and the sheriff’s office says the student has been charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, Falsely Reporting an Incident and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The school district suspended the student during the investigation.

The student was arrested this afternoon and issued a juvenile appearance ticket. They’ll appear in Monroe County Family Court.
