The Rochester RazorSharks coach won his second consecutive league championship.
Chicago, IL. – The Premier Basketball League continued their post-season award announcements with Chris Iversen being named 2017 PBL Coach of the Year.
Iversen has had a long and distinguished career with the Razorsharks, holding many positions before being named Head Coach before the 2016 season. Iversen finished the season 19-3 overall and captured his second consecutive PBL Championship after an exciting Finals series against the Kentucky Mavericks.
“Chris had another outstanding season and this award is proof of that,” said PBL Commissioner Dennis Truax. “The Razorsharks had the best record in the regular season and used their home court advantage to capture another PBL Championship, all of this under his guidance and leadership.”
“I am grateful to receive this award,” stated Iversen. “This would not be possible without the efforts of my coaching staff, players, and the Razorsharks organization as a whole. We had a great year and we hope to be able to build on it next year as we look to defend our title.”
