A 34-year-old Chili man has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property after he was linked to a string of burglaries and thefts from construction sites around the west side of Monroe County.
A raid at John Witman’s home on Berna Lane turned up stolen tools, appliances, bath fixtures and generators. Also in his garage was a stolen pickup truck taken from Gates.
Witman was sent to jail on $10,000 bail and the investigation is continuing.
