The Chili Fire Department has battled its fourth fire in less than 48 hours. Flames broke out early Thursday morning at 79 Ballantyne Road.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says someone driving by the rental house saw the fire and called 911. Responders once again had to go out into single-digit temperatures, dealing with ice from water spray and trying to pick up frozen hoses.
The fire started in the basement of the unoccupied house. Nobody was injured. The fire scene is not far from the Parklands at Chili apartment complex where fire broke out early Wednesday morning.
