A driver who died in a crash in Chili over the weekend has been identified as 62-year-old William Sperr of Chili.
Monroe County Deputies say Sperr was driving south on Route 259 when his pickup truck suddenly veered across the road and went into the ditch, hitting a pole and flipping over.
Clifton Fire Department personnel and EMTs tried to revive Sperr but were unable to. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
