A school bus taking a Sodus Central School District volleyball team to a game was rear-ended by a car in Walworth this afternoon…sending everyone in both vehicles to the hospital.
The Walworth Fire Department says there were nine children and the driver on the short school bus. They had only minor injuries and were sent to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution. All are expected to be fine. The car’s driver was more seriously injured but is also expected to recover after being extricated from the wreck by firefighters.
The bus was slowing down to make a turn on Route 441 just east of Walworth-Marion Townline Road when the car rear-ended it. There’s been no word yet about any charges.
