Brighton police say a five-year-old boy has regained consciousness after being pulled out of the swimming pool at the Country Inn and Suites on East Henrietta Road.
Police say they were called about 8:17 Tuesday evening after the child was found at the bottom of the pool and pulled out by hotel guests. They also began lifesaving efforts before police arrived. The victim was breathing but unresponsive, and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he eventually regained consciousness.
Police say they’re not certain if the child choked on food in the pool or nearly drowned. The incident remains under investigation.
