The autistic Syracuse teenager who was body slammed during a Rochester cross-country meet in October ran around Cobb’s Hill Park Friday afternoon with the Rochester Police Recruit Class.
Chase Coleman was invited by the RPD after a Pittsford man thought the autistic teenager was high on drugs and shoved him to the ground. Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli was on hand to cheer Coleman and the recruits on saying this has been a great opportunity for the department.
Coleman’s mother, Clarise Coleman, says this has turned a horrible experience into something positive.
