Governor Cuomo says Charter Communications, the purchasers of Time-Warner Cable, will locate their Northeast Regional Headquarters in Henrietta.
That will bring more than 220 new jobs to the area, ranging from skilled technical operations to call center operators. It also prevents the loss of some 500 jobs at Time-Warner Cable’s Rochester operations. The governor says Charter picked Henrietta over a possible site in Texas.
United States Senator Chuck Schumer praised the decision and says he hopes other telecommunications firms see they can thrive in Upstate New York.
