Neighbors of the Sports on Tap Bar on Stonewood Avenue in Rochester met with police Monday night, asking that the city take action against what they say is a neighborhood nuisance.

The Charlotte Community Association meeting asked about the bar’s status under the city’s nuisance point system following Saturday’s shooting and stabbing incident. Police say they have met with the bar’s owner and points will be assigned.

Rochester Police have named the two men arrested after a violent bar fight on Stonewood Avenue as 47-year-old Flor Rivera, and 45-year-old Heriberto Rivera-Mateo.

Both suburban Rochester residents are charged with both first and second-degree assault on three people.

Neighbors say there was a stabbing outside the same bar in April, and it’s bringing the wrong crowd to the neighborhood.
