Charlie tan goes on trial June 25th, 2018 on three federal weapons charges connected to his father’s murder, now nearly three years ago.
The former Cornell University student as been in custody since he was arrested while returning from Canada in September. He’s accused of receiving a firearm and ammunition with intent to commit a crime, and two counts of giving a false statement during a firearm purchase. He pleaded “not guilty” on all counts.
Tan was tried for murder in the shooting death of his father at their Pittsford home, but the state charges were dismissed after the jury deadlocked.
