New York State Police have concluded their investigation into the accident that critically injured Trooper Craig Foglia during a traffic stop in the Southern Tier…and they’ve issued several tickets against the driver who crashed into his troop car.
The crash happened in May on I-86 in Campbell. Troopers charged 78-year-old Kenneth Aukett of Westmont, New Jersey with Reckless Driving, Failure to obey New York’s Move Over law, Failure to Reduce Speed and Driving Across Hazard Markings on the Roadway.
Aukett will appear in Campbell Court on September 18th.
Foglia, a 14-year-veteran trooper, was discharged from Strong Memorial Hospital in Late May and has been recovering .
