A story in the Buffalo News gives some insight into the split between longtime legal partners Ross Cellino and Steve Barnes.
The paper quotes court documents filed in response to Cellino’s suit to break up the personal injury law firm. They say Barnes was a bully who created a “toxic environment” at the firm and threatened to retaliate against those who weren’t loyal to him.
Earlier this week, Barnes got a restraining order against Cellino after claiming he was trying to “poach” attorneys from Cellino and Barnes to start his own law firm.
