A DePaul Addiction Services employee who died at Strong Memorial Hospital, possibly as the result of a beating at work, has been identified as 33-year-old Brittni Iveson.
Iverson’s aunt told 13 WHAM she was jumped at work by several other women. Police responded to the report of a fight, but everyone involved had left by the time they arrived, according to Lt. Greg Bello.
Police later received a call that Iverson had gone to the hospital and was in critical condition. She died several hours later.
Lt. Bello said in a briefing that police are trying to figure out the details of the original incident and what happened between her leaving DePaul on Dewey Avenue and arriving at the hospital. The Monroe County Medical Examiner is investigating her cause of death.
