Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in a conference call Thursday morning that Casinos across New York may reopen next week.
Cuomo says casinos may reopen on Wednesday, September 9th. they must have proper air filtration systems against the coronavirus, must operate at reduced capacity, maintain social distancing and follow masking rules.
Casino employees have been demonstrating for weeks asking the Governor to reopen the casinos that were closed in the COVID-19 shutdown in March. Indian-owned casinos have been open since June.
