Rochester and Greece police are investigating after a chase through the City of Rochester led to the recovery of a stolen car and the arrest of two suspects.
Police say the car was taken in Greece by a suspect who threw an 84-year-old woman to the ground and stole the car. An officer recognized the car as stolen about 5:12 Sunday evening around Portland and Clifford Avenues in Rochester and tried to pull it over. The driver refused to stop and was pursued to North Clinton and Oscar Street, the vehicle striking a curb in the process and damaging one of its front wheels.
Nobody was injured during the pursuit. A city man and a Greece man in the car were arrested and were being interviewed by Rochester and Greece investigators.
