A Rochester Highway Help truck was struck by a passing car, closing 590 Southbound down to one lane and causing a major traffic backup this morning.
Monroe County Firewire says the crash happened on Southbound 590 at the Tryon Park bridge. According to the Laurelton Fire Department, four people were injured. Three were taken to the hospital and one person suffered only minor injuries and declined medical treatment. State Police are investigating how it happened.
A witness said a beige-colored car smashed into the back of the truck while the driver was helping a stranded car beside the road, smashing all three vehicles together.
