Rochester Police say a car travelling west on Main Street went off the road and hit the front of the Monroe County Office Building about 5:20 this morning.
The driver and his passenger were both taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accident is still under investigation. but Police say speed and alcohol appear to have been involved. Charges are pending against the driver.
The county communications office says it’s Environmental Services and Public Safety staffs have been to the building, secured it and assessed the damage. Temporary repairs are being made so it can open tomorrow. More permanent repairs will be needed.
