A car that crashed through the wall of an apartment complex on Mt. Read Blvd. was found disabled on Route 104 near Seneca Avenue. A man police saw approaching that car was detained after he tried to run away, but police haven’t yet determined for sure if he was the person driving when the car went through the wall.
Police say the driver of the black Audi took off after crashing through the wall of the unoccupied apartment. The damaged car was spotted less than an hour later, and police were talking to the man they saw near the car when he ran. The man was caught after a brief struggle and charged obstruction, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
He was later identified as 19-year-old Tyian McLilly of Rochester.
