A car crash Sunday afternoon at the corner of Harris and Sweet Corners Roads in Penfield sent a car crashing into a house.

Deputies say the driver of a Honda Pilot ran the stop sign at Harris Road, and a Dodge Ram in the intersection was unable to avoid. The force of the impact rolled the Honda over, and sent it crashing into a house at the intersection.

The driver, a 56-year-old Town of Ontario man, had to be extricated from his vehicle. He went to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Two dogs were in the car at the time. One escaped injury and the other was taken to a veterinarian.

The driver was ticketed for failing to stop at the stop sign.

The other driver, a 29-year-old Fairport man, suffered minor injuries. Damage to the house was minor.
