Federal prosecutors have charged a Canandaigua woman with writing fake prescriptions for opioid drugs including Vicodin, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
Shannon Lambert, 33, is charged with obtaining controlled substances by fraud. Authorities say she worked at Cornerstone Eye Associates in Rochester. She’s accused of using the practice’s electronic prescription system to issue herself prescriptions by using a doctor’s password.
Lambert allegedly wrote scrips for more than 5,000 pills.
