The City of Canandaigua has suspended its fire chief for 30 days without pay. The city says it’s a disciplinary move, but isn’t saying why.
The city manager says the suspension of Chief Mark Marentette is a personnel matter related to internal policies and the city isn’t commenting further.
The city has asked for a hearing officer and set a hearing date for next month.
