The summer’s drought is beginning to ease, and the City of Canandaigua is responding by lifting the water conservation restrictions it imposed a couple of months ago.
Canandaigua’s director of public works says the level of Canandaigua Lake has stabilized and it’s above the level at which the city’s permit to pull water from the lake requires conservation measures.
The city is asking people to be considerate and keep using commonsense water conservation measures like fixing leaky faucets.
