A man who shot the window out of a Genesee County Deputy’s patrol car earlier this year will plead guilty to second-degree attempted murder.
The Genesee County District Attorney’s Office says it worked out a plea agreement with 55-year-old David O’Connor of Byron. He will plead guilty to shooting from his room at the Hotel Byron with a 22 caliber rifle. His target was the deputy, who was parked across the street. In return, he’ll serve 12-and-a-half years in prison.
The deputy wasn’t injured although the shots smashed his window.
O’Connor will be sentenced August 30th.
