A bus monitor who got into a fight with a non-verbal BOCES student has been charged with harassment, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Schugita Thomas of Rochester was arrested after an investigation into the incident, which happened on June 19th while she was working for Monroe School Bus Company. Deputies allege Thomas got into a physical altercation with a student on her bus while it was parked at the BOCES on O’Conner Road in Perinton.
Thomas has been arraigned in Perinton Town Court and released on her own recognizance pending another court appearance at the end of the month
