An apparent home invasion robbery in Brockport ended when two residents of the house fought back and disarmed the would-be robber.
Brockport Police say the suspect kicked in the door of 51 Adams Street and forced his way into the apartment. Two occupants in the house fought back and got the gun away from the suspect, chased him outside and punched him before he broke away and ran.
He was described as a light-complexioned African-American with a light beard. His gun was recovered by police and turned out to be a realistic-looking Airsoft pistol, not a real gun.
The incident triggered a lockdown of the Brockport schools and warnings to students and staff of the College at Brockport.
