A Brockport man has been charged with possession of hypodermic needles and is facing drug charges as well after police had to inject him three times with Narcan to save his life.
Brockport Police and the Brockport Ambulance Corps were called to the man’s apartment building Thursday for a reported overdose. They found him on his apartment floor near death, and had to administer the anti-overdose drug three times before he woke up. The victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Brockport Police Chief Daniel Varrenti says that person put lives at stake, including first responders who had to rush to the scene and be exposed to unprotected needles and blood to save his life.
Police didn’t release his name.
